Built by Storm Chasers: Meet the Community Behind Bolt Hunter

When we first started designing Bolt Hunter, it wasn’t about starting a company—it was about solving a problem. But along the way, something bigger happened: a community formed around the project.

1. Tested by the people who live it

From the early prototypes to final production, Bolt Hunter’s been tested by storm chasers, weather photographers, and tour guides who spend entire seasons in the field. Their feedback shaped every update, from button feel to firmware logic.

2. Shared knowledge

We’ve had chasers in Arizona, Florida, and Australia send us data, photos, and ideas. Some asked for better battery life; others pushed for simultaneous timelapse support. Every request made the product stronger.

3. Real-world feedback loop

Bolt Hunter’s development doesn’t end at launch. Every unit in the field is part of an ongoing process of refinement. Users share conditions, camera models, and use cases that we can analyze and learn from.

4. Weather enthusiasts welcome

You don’t have to be a professional chaser to be part of it. Many of our users are simply fascinated by storms and want a way to capture that beauty safely and reliably. If that’s you, you’re part of this community too.

Photography is often solitary, but weather connects us. Bolt Hunter’s community is proof that shared curiosity can shape better tools for everyone.
